The specialty of this train ride is the dynamic change of scenery featuring palm trees and lakes near Tirano to alpine forests, ice-covered lakes and glaciers as well as the Bernina Alps. The train runs 365 days a year. Often travellers take a day trip to or from Tirano to the ski resort of St. Moritz.
