Top 8 Places To Eat In St. Gallen, Switzerland

The beautiful Swiss city of St. Gallen – pronounced Sank Gallen locally – is located just south of the Lake Constance (Bodensee) in the northeastern part of Switzerland. The city was founded in between the 6th and 7th-century by an Irish monk called Saint Gallus. Legend has it that he commanded a bear to help him build a hut and in turn, he gave the bear some bread as a reward. The place he settled at eventually became the canton of St. Gallen. The most famous landmark in St. Gallen is its Baroque Cathedral and it’s Abbey Library which houses thousands of documents which are over a thousand years old.
